Reading and understanding the Holy Quran is the most rewarding spiritual trip for me. I always
find the answers I’m seeking for. When I’m feeling a bit down on something, I open Al-Mushaf (The Holy Quran), and I feel calm, as if Allah has found me, and it helps me trust in Allah and the prophet Muhammad much more. No human being is capable of writing such beautiful words. So, when you read the Holy Quran, you know you are in the presence of Allah, our magnificent creator.
Regardless of my perspective, as a Muslim, you should realise how beneficial it is to read the Holy Quran for yourself, and here are 7 benefits that I feel will help you begin your journey with the Holy Quran.
With serenity and kindness, the Quran restores your spirit.
“And we send down from the Qur’an that which is healing and kindness for believers, but it does not grow wrongdoers except in loss.” {78}” Surah Al-Isra
I’ve always believed that learning to forgive oneself is part of Allah’s forgiveness. Allah is kind. His kindness extends to everything. You will know and feel it as you travel between his verses, and this will enable you to understand what it takes to earn his satisfaction, and then you will feel content and able to continue on with your life.

Reciting the Quran initiates a conversation with Allah (SWT)
Praying and studying the Quran are two main methods to initiate the conversation with Allah Almighty. As an example, try reciting Al-Fatihah (the very first chapter of the Quran). It is not meant to be a boring monotone spoken by the believer, but Allah has created it a warm, loving conversation between him and the follower. As the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

“Allah said, ‘I have split the prayer between Myself and My slave into two parts, and My slave shall get what he has requested.’
When the slave says, ‘Al-hamdulillah I rabbil Alameen (Everything praise is due to Allah, the Creator of all that exists),’ ‘My slave has praised Me, and My slave shall get what he has asked for,’ Allah declares. And when he replies, ‘Ar-Rahmanir-Rahim (The Most Merciful, the Most Gracious),’ Allah responds, ‘My slave has exalted Me, and My slave shall get what he has asked for.’ And when he says, ‘Maliki yawmiddin [The Only Owner (and Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense],’ he means it. Allah declares, “My slave has glorified Me.” This is for Me, and this Verse is divided in two halves between me and My slave.’ And when he says, ‘Iyyaka na’budu wa iyyaka nastain [You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we seek assistance],’ he responds, ‘This is between Me and My slave, and My slave shall get what he has asked for.’ And the Surah concludes with My slave.’ And when he says, ‘Ihdinas-siratal-mustaqeema, siratal-alldhina an’amta alayhim a lad-dallin [Guide us to the Straight Way, the way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray],’ he means, ‘THis is for My slave, and My slave shall
You will get rewarded for every letter that you read from the Quran.
Yes! You got that right: you will be rewarded for each letter repeated from the Quran’s verses, not just one surah, ayat, or phrase
Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book obtains the reward from it, as well as the reward of 10 times the likeness of it. I do not claim that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, yet Alif, Lam, and Mim are all letters.
