Indian students have many internship opportunities, ranging from large MNCs to government. Summer internships like MBA are primarily attended by undergraduate students from India. The best learning has been provided by firms such as Microsoft, Google, Cadbury, Facebook and Intel. 1. AICTE Internship

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) invites applications from young and brilliant applicants for the appointment of part-time paid students. The All India Technical Education Council is a statutory authority under the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, and a national Technical Education Council.

2. NITI Aayog Internship Scheme

NITI Aayog, Government of India, invites students pursuing Undergraduate/Graduate/Post Graduate degrees or who are enrolled as Research Scholars in recognized Universities/Institutions to apply for internships. The internship period is of at least six weeks but usually does not exceed three months. Undergraduate, Graduate, and Postgraduate degrees or students who are enrolled as Research Scholars in recognized Universities/Institutions can take part in these internships. However, no stipend is paid in this internship.

3. Google Summer Internship

As a Software Engineering Intern, you get to work on core products and services as well as those that support critical functions of the usual engineering operations. Depending on your background and experience, you can work in any of the following areas: Product and Systems Development and Engineering Productivity. Applications are invited from students who are currently pursuing a BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical fields. They must have good experience in software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages. They should be able to speak and write in English in a fluent and idiomatic manner.

4. UNESCO Internship for Graduate Students

UNESCO invites applications for internships in the following domains: Natural Sciences Sector, Culture Sector, Communication and Information. Students who possess a completed university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) at a university or equivalent institution before commencing the assignment can take part in these. The students who have enrolled in a graduate programme (second university degree or Master’s degree or equivalent, or higher) at the time of application, or those who have graduated with a university degree (first or second degree as defined above) can take part in this internship. They must start the internship within one year of graduation. You get to work from 1 to 5 months, and this is an unpaid internship. 

5. United Nations Internship Opportunity

United Nations, New Delhi invites several applications for Internships (Public Information) located in the United Nations Information Centre in New Delhi, India. The UN interns work full-time, five days per week, devote 35 hours under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned. To apply for the internships, you must be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or should be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent), or (c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above). The internships are usually unpaid.
